MARC DUCHESNE AND VALÉRIE POMERLEAU JOIN RYAN AFFAIRES PUBLIQUES
Montreal, November 26th 2018 – Mr. Patrice Ryan is pleased to announce that Marc Duchesne and Valérie Pomerleau will be joining the firm, as Director and Senior Consultant respectively.
Ryan Affaires publiques continues its expansion with the addition of two members to its Montreal office. Mr. Patrice Ryan welcomes them heartily, thrilled that the firm’s strategic vision is being fostered.

Marc Duchesne was spokesperson, then director of communications for two large multinational companies in the aerospace sector for fifteen years. Passionate about news, the media and business, he specializes in press relations, crisis management and financial relations, skills that will be extremely useful for our clients. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in communications from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Marc’s career has allowed him to successfully manage a wide variety of projects in collaboration with various stakeholders at the local, regional and international levels. His straightforward approach allows him to engage constructively with all audiences; he will be your best ally to highlight your brand and defend your reputation.
Valérie Pomerleau has served as Director of Business Development and Business Manager in her past experience. She has more recently acted as a political advisor. Her sharp understanding of government and current affairs are assets for our clients. An accounting graduate from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Valérie also completed training in project management at Université Laval. Her knowledge of the mining industry, public relations and community relations enabled her to develop expertise in the management of mining, energy, and northern and aboriginal issues. Experienced with mobilization of the public interest, her strategic advice and experience in crisis management are assets for the firm.

PATRICE RYAN [president] •1. Former Canadian diplomat. Prior to founding Ryan Affaires publiques, Patrice worked at a senior level in public relations for large corporations. •2. He holds a BA in economics from McGill University and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration (MPA) from Columbia University.
MICHELLE COURCHESNE [strategic advisor] •1. Michelle is a well-known public figure. She held several strategic positions, such as Deputy Premier, Minister of Education and President of the Treasury Board. 2. Deputy Minister of Culture from 1988 to 1995, she was also a senior official with private companies and director general of the OSM.
ISABELLE FONTAINE [senior vice president] •1. Isabelle is a renowned public affairs strategist. She has over ten years experience as a consultant to national and international companies. She often shares her expertise in the media on current issues. •2. She holds a Bachelor in Economics and Politics from the Université de Montréal.
MARIE-ANNE BÉLANGER [senior consultant] •1. Marie-Anne has extensive experience in a highly advanced R&D environment and in-depth expertise in energy and natural resources. •2. She has a Law and Communication background from the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Université Laval.
ZOÉ LAJOIE, M.Sc [senior consultant] •1. Zoé possesses a rigourous sense of analysis and an advanced synthesis capability, and has extensive experience in policy analysis. •2. She holds a B.A. Honours in Political Science from McGill University and a M.Sc in Public and International Affairs from the Université de Montréal.
VALÉRIE POMERLEAU [senior consultant] •1. Former political advisor to the Minister of Energy, Natural resources and Minister responsible for the Northern Plan’s parliamentary assistant, Valérie has expertise in managing issues and in communications. •2. A graduate in Accounting from Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, she recently completed Project Management training at the Université Laval.
YASMINE RAGALA [consultant] •1.Yasmine completed several internships abroad within two international organizations and a private company. •2. She holds a B.A. in International Studies and a M. Sc in Public and International Affairs from the Université de Montréal.
JULIA SUTERA SARDO [research consultant] •1. In addition to her knowledge of the legal sector, Julia has extensive experience as an analyst of constitutional law and public policy. •2. Julia is studying Common Law and Civil Law at McGill University and pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Concordia University. She already holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Policy.
LORRAINE BERKHOFF [coordinator] •1. Lorraine coordinates the operations of the team. She has extensive experience in administration, marketing and business development within world class companies. •2. She holds diplomas in International Relations and Communication.
